OPOS drivers are a form of Windows Drivers but for POS devices. Most manufactures offer both standard Windows drivers and OPOS drivers. CounterPoint can use either but the industry is moving to OPOS. Also some features and functions are only available when using OPOS drivers. You can not mix driver types within a store.. All POS devices in a store must use OPOS or standard Windows drivers.
